「羅密歐與茱麗葉」搬上銀幕並不是第一次，早在約三十年前好萊塢就曾拍攝成電影，
而且當時在世界各地都相當轟動，台灣當時的中文片名為「殉情記」。
"A time for us"這首歌就是「殉情記」的主題曲，但是這首歌並未出現在電影中。
原因是原來的配樂實在太動聽，後來有人將其主題音樂填上歌詞，
交由當時最紅的男歌星安迪威廉斯演唱，而成了一首暢銷曲。
